Winter Comfort
Another warm and wonderful Forking Delicious dinner party. We gathered at my house to share comfort food recipes to warm our souls in this cold month, and ended up laughing and toasting life.

Donna made delicious cheesesteak eggrolls. I swear, Donna is the Queen of the wonton wrapper. From duck spring rolls to cheesesteak rolls, she knows how to wok n roll. Served with a spicy tomato dipping sauce, the mini steaks were great.

Tinamarie served a lovely vegetarian lentil and corn cake that was pan friend then served with a tangy mango salsa. Delish and healthy! A nice balance to the cheesesteak rolls.

Renee brought braised shirt ribs with a barbecue sauce... juicy and satisfying.

I made a lemon mousse layered with fresh lemon curd and raspberry coulis. Very cheerful, A little too busy though... Although the recipe said layer it twice, I would have stuck to once and put in more mousse than curd. But that's me.

We quaffed a fresh grapefruit cocktail and a bit of champagne. That kept us festive. We laughed so much, I thought I'd cry. What a blast to know women with such a lsut for life.

Tinamarie's friend wore a beautiful vintage jacket - Persian lamb and mink. That began a loud round of thrift store stories and vintage show and tell. My hot pink velour evening coat won the day. And we promised to set a date for a dress up anniversary visit to Jones.
