Comforting Soups and Stews for Winter
We had a lovely, long overdue get together at Dianna Marder's house, the first time we've been together since Dana's Farewell. Most of us had not seen Dianna since our Italian trip last fall.

Happily, Dianna offered to host our January get together in her cozy home. We gathered round the table to catch up, tell stories and share our recipes.

Tinamarie made a delicious, savory seaweed noodle soup. Donna brought a deeply flavorful beef stew. I served a 3-bean vegetarian chili. Renee put together a hearty smoked chicken asiago pasta salad. Lesu topped it all off with a rich Chocolate Mousse Cake that Donna garnished with Lavender Ice Cream. We quaffed champagne sparklers and talked about our foodie dreams... and at the end, we pushed Renee to the computer and helped her draft some sample menus. Another step towards the dream!
